Stiff plastic panels, held together neatly with Velcro and tailored to fit your car, offer the ultimate damage limitation. At this price (which includes the optional £15.00 flip-out protector and £19.99 anti-slip mat), the Boot Buddy covers both the floor sides and bumper.

It sailed through our drop test without leaving a mark and was quick to fit and remove. A great performer if you can justify the expense. Read more: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/products/240124/boot_buddy.html#ixzz0PzPNFfM2

So according to Auto Express, if you need maximum protection for floor, sides, seat back and bumper, the Boot Buddy came through with flying colours. Not only that, in their "Drop Test" there was no damage transferred through the boot liner onto the car at all.

Boot liners. A practical Guide to Choosing the Best Boot Liners.

For exclusive practical advice and help with choosing a car boot liner, I've set up this blog with the aim of providing you with hints, tips and advice on the many types of boot liner currently on sale.

First we need to know just what we will carrry in the boot, e.g. tools, shopping, garden refuse, DIY materials, bikes and dogs. If you only use your boot for the weekly shopping trip, a floor mat may be sufficient for your needs. However for the rest some additional side and seat back protection may be essential.

There are numerous boot liners made from soft materials such as plastic sheeting, canvas coated and waterproof materials, to moulded plastic trays. Then there are the high sided boot liners which are made from a tough plastic (polypropylene) material.

Where full height protection is needed, choose a made to measure material liner for carrying dogs, to prevent dog hairs and smells getting into your boot fabrics. Many of these designs are waterproof, and some can be taken out and machine washed when needed.

If you will be transporting sharp or heavy goods, a stronger boot liner would be essential because these will prevent sharp objects from puncturing other liners and damaging the interior of your boot. While this last type of boot liner is more expensive than some others, they will provide a good investment in the long run.

To see what types of liner you can buy, go to Googles Home page, select your country, e.g. UK, and type in "Car boot liners" or "Boot Liner" or if you drive say a Ford, type in "Ford boot liner" and hit SEARCH.

Then read through the first page listings to gather information about the best type of car boot liner for your needs.

Another little TIP; check for customer feedback such as comments and testimonials, to see how buyers rate their products and service. Also, look to see if there is a telephone number where you can call and ask questions before purchase.

We hope this short help section will give you some answers to finding the right boot liner for your car.
